Norman Morris, Industry Communications Director, Roy Morgan Research, says:
“Press reports earlier this week suggested that consumers prefer to shop with Solomon Lew owned stores because they provide better service than Myer. These results indicate that it’s true for Jacqui E and Jay Jays but not necessarily so for Just Jeans and Portmans.
“In the lead up to Christmas retailers need to acknowledge their customer satisfaction is crucial to their success as our research shows satisfied customers spend more money.
“Further analysis of department stores David Jones and Myer showed their customers who have bought clothing are more satisfied than their average customer base.”
