Who we are

Roy Morgan Online Store is a division of Roy Morgan Research, Australia's best known and longest established market research and public opinion Survey Company. Roy Morgan Research was founded in 1941 by Roy Morgan. Since then, Roy Morgan Research has grown and prospered. While originally specialising in public opinion, corporate image and media measurement, the company has expanded to cover all aspects of market research information gathering whether by personal interviews, the telephone, self-administered or the Internet.

We currently have an extensive range of Reports and Profiles available in Australia, New Zealand, US and the UK. Our large range of standard profiles available across all industries provide a broad understanding of the demographics, attitudes, activities and media usage of your target profile. How do I use RoyMorganOnlineStore.com?

Roy Morgan Online Store allows you to search our products in various ways using keywords, country, industry, and category or brand searches. You can also browse all of our reports and profiles by clicking on the Browse tab located at the top of the page. This will allow you to navigate through the different profiles and reports available by country and then industry category. Once you have found a product that interests you click on the title to view a more detailed description of the product available.

Where is the search located and how do I use it?

Search is located on the Home page. This can be accessed from any page by simply clicking on the Home tab located on the top right hand side of the site. You can type any term into the search bar and it will search our reports and profiles for these terms. If you require a more detailed search please use our advanced search function which will allow you to tailor the search to your needs.

How do I use browse?

If you are unsure of what you are looking for, the Browse function is most likely your best starting point. The Browse tab can be located on the top right hand side of the site. From here you can browse through our entire catalogue of reports and profiles by navigating through the browse tree which is broken down into countries and then industry category.

How do I use the advanced search function?

Our advanced search function can be found on the homepage under the main search bar or alternatively it can be easily accessed from any page using the Quick Find drop box. The advanced search function allows you to search for any key word with the option to filter the search specific to Country, Industry, Brand and Report Type.

What is quick find and how do I use it?

Quick Find is a drop down box that can be located in the top right hand corner of the site from any page. This function allows you to gain quick and easy access to a number of different categories and sections of our site.

What types of reports do you have?

Roy Morgan Online Store has reports available in many industries and countries. Our various reports available include Satisfaction Reports, Leading Indicator Reports, State of the Nation Reports, Specific Industry Based Reports and Currency Reports.

If you cannot find the report that you are looking for it is likely that we have the data available but this report has not made it into our catalogue yet so please contact us to discuss your requirements. Our Profiles

What are target profiles?

Unlike our detailed reports, profiles provide a very broad analysis of your target audience in terms of demographics, attitudes, activities and media usage through the use of tables and charts. Please click here to view a sample target profile.

Profiles are produced by Roy Morgan Research professionals using Roy Morgan Single Source data.

How are profiles priced?

Our standard target profiles are priced at $950 AUD. Our premium target profiles are priced at $4,950 AUD.

Making a Purchase

How do I add or remove a product from my Shopping Cart?

You can add a product to your cart at any time during your browse through our catalogue. Simply click the 'Add to Cart' button and you will be taken to view your cart. If you wish to remove an item from the cart simply tick the box next to the item you would like removed from your cart and then click 'Update'. Alternatively, if you would like to empty the entire contents of your cart, simply click 'empty'. From your shopping cart you can choose to click 'checkout' to proceed through the purchase process or you can 'continue shopping' and return to the last page you visited.

How can I view or access my Shopping Cart?

Your shopping cart can be accessed from any page on the site by clicking on 'your cart'. This can be found on the top right hand corner of any page on the site.

How do I purchase a product?

To purchase a product you need to add the item to your shopping cart. Once it is added to your cart you can proceed through to the checkout stage and complete all of the required steps.

What types of payment are accepted?

Roy Morgan Online Store accepts MasterCard, Visa and AMEX credit cards or you can pay via Electronic Funds Transfer.

Is GST added to the price of the product?

All of our prices quoted are exclusive of GST. This GST is added during the checkout process to all Australian sales.

What is the checkout process for purchasing a product?

Once you have added your product/s to your shopping cart, click on the 'checkout' button. From here you will be directed through a series of steps. You will be asked to register as a member using a username and password, a billing address will be required, and specification of method payment preferred and order confirmation.

How will I receive my purchased product?

All of our products are delivered electronically to My Account. My Account can be accessed by signing into your Roy Morgan Online Store account. Once you have signed in you can access My Account on the left hand side panel of the screen. Your product will be available from My Account  for a period of 7 days. During this time we suggest that you save the file to your computer as the product will become inactive in My Account after the 7 days. After such time, the product will be moved to your 'expired purchases'. The expired purchases section provides you with a record of the products previously purchased through the Roy Morgan Online Store.

How long does delivery take?

Items purchased online via credit card are available for immediate download. If you are paying via EFT transaction the product will become available to you once the payment has been made. Once the payment has been made the product will be available via My Account.

If the product you are purchasing is an annual subscription then you will receive the report as and when they are released.

How to become a member

How do I register?

When making a purchase, the checkout process will automatically ask you to login or create a new account. You can also register using the 'Login/Register' link located at the top right hand side of each page.

I forgot my password. What do I do?

Please click on the forgotten password link in the login/register area and an automatically generated password will be sent through to you. Use this password to login and use your Roy Morgan Online Store account. You can change your password by logging into your Roy Morgan Online Store account and locating Change Password on the left hand side panel of the screen.

How can I change my account information?

You can change your account information by logging into your Roy Morgan Online Store and locating the Account Details tab on the left hand panel.

What is 'My Account'?

My Account provides a number of services for you to easily access and monitor your purchases made. My Account, located on the top left hand menu, is where newly purchased products are delivered. You can access My Account by logging onto the site with your username and password. From here, you can view your expired purchases and overall purchase history. The My Account located on the left hand menu also allows for access to other personal information such as changing your password, your account details or making a request for custom research reports.

Privacy Policy

It's been a long held belief at Roy Morgan Research that successful market research relies on the goodwill of the public. Protecting the privacy of the people who make our business possible is one way of ensuring ongoing goodwill, and is therefore vital to our ongoing business success. The Federal Privacy Act 1988, and the Amendment of 2000, is legislation that defines a set of National Privacy Principles (NPP's) that govern the way organisations collect, use, protect and disclose personal information. Roy Morgan Research embraces these principles because they build on our company objective - to protect the privacy of respondents, clients and other people associated with our company.

Why do we collect information?

The purpose of Market Research is to gather and present the opinions of the public directly to the people making decisions about goods, services or social policies that touch many aspects of our daily lives. To enable this to happen, Roy Morgan Research asks members of the public for their opinions on a variety of different issues. Roy Morgan Research uses data at an aggregate level, that is, we use the combined answers of many people to draw conclusions as to the opinions of broad segments of the population.

Why do we need your personal information?

Sometimes Roy Morgan Research collects 'personal' information from respondents. Most often this is used to verify that the person gathering the information captured the respondents true and correct opinions. We audit at least ten percent of all our interviewers work to ensure the interview is authentic and the data collected was accurate, by cross checking with the respondent. Personal information can also be used to enable us to gain an accurate picture of what certain groups of people in society think, for example, what percentage of young people take public transport to work? How could the public transport system be improved to encourage more young people to use it? Personal information is never passed on to organisations or individuals outside Roy Morgan Research without the consent of the person identified by that information.

How do we protect the data we collect from misuse?

Roy Morgan takes all reasonable precautions to protect information held about people who make our research possible. All our systems are security protected and all Roy Morgan staff and interviewers must sign a confidentiality agreement upon commencing with the company. Hard copy information is stored securely then destroyed after 18 months.

Access to Personal Information

As set out in the National Privacy Principles, individuals may seek access to and request the correction of, or deletion of personal information held about them while this information remains identifiable. Please speak to our Privacy officer for further information.

Refund Policy

Purchasers acknowledge that Roy Morgan Research Pty Ltd has a general "no refund" policy with respect to Report purchases due to the nature of the information being sold. We unfortunately cannot accept returns of products once they have been delivered. If you have any questions about a report's coverage or relevance, simply contact us for assistance.
