About this Report
Since the introduction of Super Choice legislation in July 2005, Roy Morgan Research has been tracking the impact this has had on consumers through our Superannuation and Wealth Management Report series. Superannuation is about to go through further changes with the Federal Governments' proposed Future of Financial Advice (FoFA) reforms set to take affect from 1 July 2012.
With the Federal Government currently consulting with the industry on the final details of the FoFA reforms and what shape they will take, Roy Morgan Research considered it to be important to get the views of consumers on the topic. To achieve this, Roy Morgan Research conducted a survey among 1,597 people who have superannuation, with the aim of better understanding how they felt about retirement planning, financial advice, engagement and their general level of interest and understanding of superannuation.
